The retreat is a 200-year-old Alpujarran farmhouse (Cortijo) built on three floors. It has been beautifully restored using many traditional methods and organic materials to recapture its natural ambience and sense of history.

The bedrooms are situated on the upper floor. Each room is stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. In addition there is a lounge and adjoining sitting room (snug), for relaxation.

On the ground floor there is a dining terrace shaded by vines and a large fig tree. From here it is just a few steps down to the natural pool with a stunning mountain vista. The pool usually flows from mid-May to mid-September. Above, the sun terrace spreads before a breathtaking view of the valley and the mountains beyond.

Private terraces surround the house and there is ample space to stroll in the olive groves or relax in a hammock in a secluded spot under a tree.
